Quality Links can increase your page rank and search results.

Why do I need links to my website?

The more links to your website, the more traffic you will see. The problem we see is too many "bad" links to and from web sites. Links should be relevant. If you have incoming links to a real estate website from a computer service directory then you will not only be wasting visitors' time and server resources but the search engines may think you are relevant to computer sales or service.

What you want are links from relevant website and preferably links using key phrases as the anchor text. If the search engines see incoming links from other real estate websites or directories then they have a tendency to see you as a relevant link for realestate.

More quality inbound links can increase your page rank and your search engine results position.

What about outbound links? Here is where you can really get in trouble. If you link to known spam link sites you can actually hurt your own rankings. Only link to relevant, quality web sites.

Just remember, when it comes to inbound and outbound links, it's not quantity, it's quality.

Can I do it myself? Sure! This is one of the aspects of search optimization that the do-it-yourselfer can almost always get right. You can start with your first quality link here: Submit Your Site to Best of the Web!
